For effective learning in Creative Arts at Grade 3 level, the following requirements are necessary:
Art Materials: crayons, coloured pencils, markers, paint, brushes, clay, glue, scissors, paper, cardboard, and recycled materials.
Music and Movement Resources: simple musical instruments such as drums, shakers, tambourines, and recorded music.
Learning Space: a safe and spacious classroom or outdoor area that allows drawing, modelling, movement, and group performance.
Visual Aids: pictures, charts, real artworks, and craft samples to help learners observe and imitate artistic techniques.
Teacher Guidance: demonstrations, guided practice, and encouragement to support creativity and self-expression.
Learner Participation: willingness to explore, create, perform, and appreciate their own work and that of others.
Creative Arts in Grade 3 introduces learners to basic artistic skills and creative expression through drawing, painting, modelling, collage, music, movement, and simple drama. The learning area encourages learners to explore different materials and techniques to express ideas, feelings, and experiences.
