Learning Area Description

Safety in the environment helps learners understand how to protect themselves and others from danger at home and in school. It teaches learners to identify possible hazards, follow safety rules, and develop responsible behaviors that prevent accidents and injuries. The learning area also encourages learners to respect safety guidelines, care for their environment, and respond appropriately when they notice unsafe situations.
